BREAKING: On an Official Visit, The Auburn Tigers Will Play Host To a Gifted Defensive Back……

Official Visit Dates For Transfer Defensive Back To Auburn

A gifted defensive back will pay the Auburn Tigers an official visit.

Next week, a talented transfer defensive back will make an official visit to the Auburn Tigers.

Jay’Vion Cole, a defensive back for San Jose State, announced on social media that he will be visiting Auburn on May 7–9.

The previous season, PFF ranked Cole as San Jose State’s best defender. He played the majority of his snaps in the outside corner. Sixteen snaps came at outside corner, six in the slot, and sixty-one in the box out of his 876 total snaps from the previous campaign.

He was also a special teams assistant. He covered kickoffs, returned punts, field goal block snaps, and kickeoff coverage.

Cole, a transfer who is 5 feet 10 inches and 175 pounds, played collegiate football for two years. He was a Cal Poly player in his rookie year. He made 20 tackles in 11 games while playing. With four selections, he led Cal Poly as well.

He has three interceptions and ten pass breakups in 2023 while attending San Jose State. In addition, he recorded a sack and three tackles for a loss. Last season, he had the second-most pass breakups in the Mountain West Conference with 10.

One of the biggest reasons Cole might suit at Auburn is his two years of eligibility remaining. To assist disperse the depth at many positions—cornerback being one of them—the Tigers need to include more juniors on their roster.
